MAY WORKSHOP
Join me for a Month Long Workshop where we explore creating an expressive portrait in oil!
The theme is BELIEVING. This month we start something new. This is my second time painting this subject and it is a challenge. I usually do not paint a man as my subject but I love painting him!!! The subject matter is my favorite male muse - RICK. He is probably one of the most popular online muses - I first found him on the Sktchy App and love the uniqueness of his features. And the BEARD!! I was challenged and I took it.
So this month, I return to Rick and paint him again. Focus will be on seeing form and shape in the face as well as composition and color. And, yes how to paint that beard!

The theme is DREAM. In this workshop we will focus on the Self Portrait (or my self portrait if you want to paint along with me). We will follow my four phases of my creative process from start to finish. I will be using oil in my lesson but will provide information if you are interested in using acrylic.
The theme is LOVE. In this workshop we will focus on how we can incorporate this theme into our work - we will focus this month on learning to tell our story and develop our unique style. We will learn to include our story onto our canvas. Also in this month we will add hands to our portrait. We will follow my four phases of my creative process from start to finish. I will be using oil in my lesson but will provide information if you are interested in using acrylic.
The theme is BIRTH. In this workshop we will focus on how we can incorporate this theme into our work - we will focus this month on learning to tell our story and develop our unique style. We will learn to include our story onto our canvas. Also in this month we will focus on a more figurative pose that includes both hands and more of the body area. Another Challenge for me! This month I focus on creating a series - using small canvases I demonstrate how working in series can give your creative practice a big boost. I will create FOUR oil paintings - focusing on a continuous theme, color and story for each painting.
