Here is a list of my favorite business tools.
I have experimented with many various tools throughout my creative business journey. Here are my favorites and why I use and love them.
WHAT I USE TO RECORD DEMOS
ADOBE PREMIER PRO
I pay for a monthly subcription to ADOBE platforms so I can get automatic uploads and upgrades. I use Premiere Pro to edit my Demos and Videos. I does take some time to learn the platform but it is well worth it. Premiere Pro is only on your desktop. You can edit and create short form video for Tik Tok and Instagram using an app version called ADOBE EXPRESS.
CAPCUT
If you don’t want to subscribe to ADOBE (it can be a bit expensive) and you like to use your smart phone to edit video for TikTok or Instagram. I good alternative is CAPCUT. There is a free limited version as well. The platform is a bit easier to navigate and understand. In addition to having a app version you can use on your smart phone there is a desktop version too.
ADOBE PHOTOSHOP
Another Adobe product I use to edit my photos is PHOTOSHOP. Again it does require some learning and understanding of the interface. But I find that it is the best photo editing platform out there. There is an app version to PHOTOSHOP that you can use on your Smart Phone.
CAMERA
I will almost always use my iPhone to record my demos. The new versions of iPhone record amazing quality video that I can upload onto any video editing platform.
ADOBE AUDITION
I just began recording a podcast and Adobe has a project that gives you amazing editing capabilities to record audio, edit your voice and more. I am still learning this platform but love it already. You can also share it with Premiere Pro as well.
MICROPHONE
I use a Yeti Blue Microphone by Logitech. This has been my main microphone for years and records clear audio for demos, podcast etc….

I use a the RODE Lavelier Go Microphone if I want to record audio from my Smart Phone. You do need to get an adapter if you are using a newer iPhone though

TECHNOLOGY
MACBOOK PRO
My computer of choice is my MACBOOK PRO laptop. I goes wherever I go and I love that I can share photos and content easily to my iPhone and iPad.
IPAD
I love my iPad - I got the IPAD PRO 13 inch - and I have the Apple Pencil that goes with it. I use my iPad to play around with my reference photo, use Procreate to experiment with different compositions and for writing. I it easy to use and I can easily share content between my laptop, iPhone and iPad.
PAINTING TOOLS
PROJECTOR
I do use a projector to trace my subjects onto my canvas - especially when I have a larger canvas I am working on. I don’t have a fancy one and would probable invest in a higher quality on at some point but this is the one I use.

Other TOOLS
CANVA
This is an amazing program I can use on my desktop, iPad and Smart Phone. It is a great resource for creating marketing materials, design social media content and creating presentations for your demos.
This is a free version that limits your access to various designs and fonts. I pay for the yearly access because I do use all aspects of CANVA for marketing.
