APRIL WORKSHOP
Join me for a Month Long Workshop where we explore creating an expressive portrait in oil!
The theme is GROWTH. Last month, we focused on PHASE ONE of the process - the Underpainting. In April, we continue moving through our creative practice by focusing on PHASE TWO and THREE - the blocking in and layering. Using our project from March, we will continue the story and work towards creating a successful portrait in oil.
In March we spent time focusing on PHASE ONE - the UNDERPAINTING in depth. Breaking down the process and taking time to understand each aspect of the process. In APRIL we continue with our figurative pose and explore PHASE TWO and THREE - Bliock in and adding Layers. Want to see PHASE ONE? As the March Session is currently still in session, below is a peek at where we are in the process of the underpainting. By the end of month we will have the entire canvas blocked in with additional background, a floral and nature element and more!

The theme is DREAM. In this workshop we will focus on the Self Portrait (or my self portrait if you want to paint along with me). We will follow my four phases of my creative process from start to finish. I will be using oil in my lesson but will provide information if you are interested in using acrylic.
The theme is LOVE. In this workshop we will focus on how we can incorporate this theme into our work - we will focus this month on learning to tell our story and develop our unique style. We will learn to include our story onto our canvas. Also in this month we will add hands to our portrait. We will follow my four phases of my creative process from start to finish. I will be using oil in my lesson but will provide information if you are interested in using acrylic.
The theme is BIRTH. In this workshop we will focus on how we can incorporate this theme into our work - we will focus this month on learning to tell our story and develop our unique style. Spring is coming soon! In this month we will continue our project from March - working on PHASE TWO & PHASE THREE of the process. In addition we will learn how to incorporate a background with floral and nature elements

This month we will challenge ourselves to paint a portrait within an inside environment. In a bedroom, at the kitchen table.
